Candy Orange Slice Cake
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
1 can angel flake coconut
1 lb. orange slice candy
8 oz. pitted dates
2 c. pecans
1 tsp. soda mixed in buttermilk
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. plain flour
- Chop or cut candy, dates and nuts into sm. pieces. Melt butter and pour over the chopped ingredients.
- Mix sugar, eggs, flour and buttermilk together and pour over melted butter and other ingredients. Add angel flake coconut, blending all together.
- Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 2 hours at 300 degrees.
