Chewy Chocolate Cookies
Do Not Overbake...
1 1/4 cups butter or regular margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups unsifted all purpose flour
3/4 cup regular or dutch cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
- Cream butter or margarine in a large mixer bowl using a wooden spoon.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, and blend well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla, mixing to combine.
- Sift the cocoa, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add to the creamed mixture and blend using a wooden spoon. Stir in the nuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 for 8 to 9 minutes.
