Creamed Spinach With Nutmeg


This creamy favorite is a great source of Vitamins A, C, and folic acid.


2 pkgs 10 oz each spinach
3 tbs butter
1/2 onion, diced
3 tbs flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 cup half and half


  1. Bring pot of water to a boil. Add spinach, cook until wilted. Drain, reserve.
  2. In skillet, melt butter. Add onion, and cook until softened. Stir in flour, cook 2 min. Add salt, pepper, nutmeg and half and half, cook until thickened.
  3. Stir in spinach, heat through.
