Crispy Layer Chicken Casserole


1/4 cup margarine
1 box chicken-flavored stuffing mix
3 cans mixed vegetables, drained, reserving 3/4 cup liquid
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1 1/2 cups cooked, cubed chicken
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt margarine and mix with the contents of seasoning packet from stuffing. Stir in bread crumbs from the mix until slightly moistened.
  2. Combine soup and reserved liquid from the vegetables. Mix well. Add vegetables and chicken.
  3. Spread chicken mixture in an ungreased 13x9-inch casserole dish.
  4. Sprinkle with cheese. Spread moistened stuffing mix on top. Bake, covered, for 20 minutes. Remove cover and bake an additional 5 to 10 minutes until topping is browned.
