Christmas EggNog Bread
Makes 2 loaves, 10 servings
2 1/2 cups All purpose flour
1 cup White sugar
1 Tbsp. Baking powder
1/2 t sp. Salt
3/4 tsp. Nutmeg
3 Eggs, beaten
1 cup Half and half (or cream)
1 cup Vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 1/2 tsp. Brandy extract
1 tsp. Almond extract
1/2 cup Chopped almonds
1/2 cup Maraschino cherries
- In mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- In separate container beat together eggs, half and half, oil, and the three extracts. Stir into dry ingredients; mix well. Fold in nuts and cherries.
- Turn into two greased loaf pans. Bake at 350F for 40-45 minutes. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on rack.
