Ham & Pasta Stove Top


2 1/2 cups of uncooked pasta - can use penne or spirals work well
1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
1 cup of frozen corn
1/2 cup of sliced green onions
1 cup of cooked ham cut into 1 inch thin strips
1 medium zucchini cut into 1 inch thin strips
4 Italian plum tomatoes, cut into quarters, about 2 cups
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/8 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup of half and half
1/4 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese


  1. Cook the pasta according to the manufacture's directions.
  2. Drain, add a little butter or oil and keep the pasta warm by covering with a clean towel.
  3. Melt the margarine or butter in a nonstick pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the corn, zucchini- cook for 4-6 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and all the remaining ingredients except the cheese. Reduce to medium heat- cook and stir 3-5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
  6. Stir in the cheese and serve.
