Pasta With Scallops, Chilli And Garlic


4 tbsp olive oil
12 scallops
a bunch of asparagus
4 servings of pasta of your choice
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 red chilli, minced
2 tsp grated lemon zest
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Season scallops with salt and pepper. Drizzle some olive oil on the scallops. Sear scallops, about 2 minutes on each side. Set aside.
  2. Blanch or steam asparagus until just done. Cook pasta until al dente.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan. Add garlic and chilli. Cook gently in low heat for 2 minutes. Mix in lemon zest and freshly ground pepper.
  4. Add the drained pasta in the infused oil. Squeeze some lemon juice on the pasta. Add the chopped parsley.
  5. Mix well and serve immediately with the scallops and asparagus.
