Quick Sourdough Cheddar Bread


3 3/4 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sharp cheddar
5 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup sourdough
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs


  1. Combine the dry ingredients, then cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then add the shredded cheddar cheese.
  2. Combine the milk, sourdough and eggs then add the mixture to
  3. the cheddar mixture. Stir until just moistened, then spoon into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 375F. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from the pan immediately and let cool on a wire rack.
