Sauerkraut And Chicken Casserole


Makes 4 servings.


1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 lb.)
1 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 C. barbecue sauce


  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Spread sauerkraut evenly in bottom of ungreased rectangular baking dish, 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inches. Place chicken on sauerkraut; sprinkle with garlic powder; spread barbecue sauce over chicken.
  3. Cover and bake about 1 hour or until juice of chicken is no longer pink when centers of thickest pieces are cut.
